Frequently Asked Questions:

What is an EPC and when do you need one?

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a document that provides information about the energy efficiency of a building or property. The Energy Performance of Buildings (England and Wales) Regulations 2012 states that EPC's are a legal requirement and expire after 10 years.

An EPC includes:

  • Energy Efficiency Rating: A Grade from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient).

  •  Energy Use and COâ‚‚ Emissions: Estimated energy consumption and environmental impact

  •  Recommendations: Suggestions to improve energy efficiency, such as better insulation or more efficient heating systems.

EPCs are required when selling, renting, or building a property in the UK. They help buyers and tenants understand energy costs and encourage energy-saving improvements.

Our EPC's cost between £50-£70, which is dependent on the property.
